This low-cut is made from Bingo-Fushiori fabric, a fabric brand derived from Bingo-Kasuri, a traditional textile brand of the Bingo region. It is characterised by the presence of neps (intentional knots) and has an airy softness and warm, rustic texture due to the slow, careful weaving process. There are currently only two weaving companies in Japan, and production of this very precious fabric is limited due to the many manual processes involved. It has a light touch and excellent moisture absorption and breathability, making it cool in summer and warm in winter. The more you use it, the softer it becomes and the more you can enjoy its texture as it ages. The Bingo-Fushiori name is on the shoe tongue. *This product is sold exclusively through the online store. *This product may also be sold at stores nationwide at a later date.

Born from Bingo Kasuri — One of Japan's Three Great Kasuri Traditions.
A timeless craft woven with a soft, naturally blurred texture.

Bingo Bushi-ori is a textile brand born from Bingo Kasuri, one of Japan's three great kasuri traditions.
It has been woven since the Edo period in the Bingo region — the same area of Hiroshima Prefecture where SPINGLE calls home.

It begins with hand-dyeing the yarn — indigo or persimmon tannin, applied by hand and sun-dried.

In kasuri, the yarn is dyed before it is woven. Each thread is hand-dyed by skilled craftspeople using natural dyes such as indigo and persimmon tannin, then carefully sun-dried with close attention to the weather.

Weaving pre-dyed yarn creates subtle shifts in pattern and color,
giving the fabric its characteristic soft, blurred expression.

By weaving pre-dyed yarn to form patterns and designs, the characteristic misalignments unique to kasuri naturally occur. These slight shifts are what create the soft, beautifully blurred texture that defines this cloth.

Only kasuri can achieve that subtly blurred expression of pattern and color.

The texture born from these slight shifts in pattern and color during weaving is unique to kasuri. Unlike fabric dyed after weaving — which results in either fully uniform or irregularly patchy color — only kasuri can achieve that exquisitely blurred, nuanced expression of pattern and hue.

Supreme comfort born from over 90 years of craftsmanship —
made to be repaired and worn for a lifetime.

Drawing on techniques cultivated since 1933, SPINGLE has repeatedly refined its lasts and patterns at our Hiroshima factory to suit the shape of the Japanese foot, always in pursuit of the perfect fit.
Our signature wrapped sole excels in cushioning, durability, and flexibility — and can be repaired, letting you build a lasting bond with every pair. "A shoe worth treasuring, yet one you'll want to wear every day." That's the charm only possible because we craft each pair in our own factory in Hiroshima.
