Sandals are comfortable during the scorching hot
Japanese summer!

The heat in the Japanese summer is getting hotter every year, to the point that even Japanese people are surprised.
However, there are also some things to enjoy that are unique to summer in Japan.
These are traditional festivals, such as the Gion Festival in Kyoto, and fireworks displays that are held all over the country. The perfect way to enjoy the Japanese summer, which is full of such special pleasures, is to wear cool, relaxing sandals.
What are Japanese summer festivals?

Originally, Japanese summer festivals were held to pray for recovery from illness and to honor ancestors. There are many festivals, ranging from big to small, with different characteristics depending on the region. Many festivals also incorporate dancing, and you can usually join in and dance.
Of course, the food stalls are also another way to enjoy the festivals, with a wide variety of stalls offering everything from typical Japanese dishes like candy apples, grilled squid, and yakisoba noodles to pop sweets like crepes and shaved ice.
Summer festivals usually start at dusk when the heat has subsided. We change into yukata robes, grab a fan and a pouch containing small items, put on geta, traditional Japanese footwear, and head out to the festival.

Many Japanese people look forward to summer festivals, special events that only happen in the summer. Why not change your sneakers into cool sandals and enjoy a light-hearted Japanese summer festival?
We at SPINGLE recommend leather sandals that are handmade in our factory in
Hiroshima.
SP-1717, a thong sandal type

These sandals feature a strap design similar to that of geta clogs. The strap is made of kangaroo leather. This is because SPINGLE's classic sneaker, SP-110, is made of kangaroo leather.
Kangaroo leather is a lightweight and flexible material that easily adapts to your feet. In addition, its fiber structure is denser than cowhide of the same thickness, making it stronger and very durable. Furthermore, even if you walk a lot, the original insole absorbs and releases sweat, so you can continue to feel comfortable.

In today's Japan, geta are often considered special footwear to go with traditional Japanese clothing, so some people wear sandals with their yukata (although yukata is also a special type of clothing). The SP-1717 comes in six colors: light gray, brown, deep green, black, deep red, and deep navy.

Slide sandal type SP-1718

There is also a slide sandal type, SP-1718, which is more comfortable to wear and easier to put on and take off. It comes in the same six colors as the thong type. The upper surface area is large, so you can have fun choosing the color.
The upper part that covers the instep is cushioned, so it feels gentle on your feet.

They are perfect for relaxing as well as going out. Like the thong sandals, the insoles have excellent moisture absorption and release properties to keep you comfortable.
